Event: Saturday, May 5th, 2018
Rain Date: May 19th, 2018

Use Social Media

Share our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram posts. Spread the word and link the donation page to your posts. Friends and family who are unable to attend can still make donations to support early childhood education in New Haven!

Ask for Sponsors

Be sure to tell family, friends, your doctor's office, that if they choose to donate $10, they should do so in your name at the registration table or online registration form.
You can collect donations in cash or check format, on Facebook, or through the FC website. Checks should be made out to Friends Center for Children.

Ask for Help

Our Friends Center board is committed to helping our families meet their fundraising goals. Anyone needing assistance in fundraising can reach out to Susan or Tabitha.

Tracking System

Friends Center for Children will keep an updated list of who has contributed online, on your behalf. Online contributions will go directly to Friends Center.

Cash and checks can be dropped off at the front desk, where we will document your submissions.

The Finish Line

Please give collected funds to your childcare program director by May 12, 2018. Be sure to let your sponsors know how much we appreciate their support!

Some of our families prefer using social media to raise funds. Here are instructions for creating a facebook fundraiser:

  • Click Fundraisers in the left menu of your News Feed
  • Click Raise Money
  • Select Nonprofit/Charity
  • Type in Friends Center for Children
  • Choose a cover photo
  • Fill in the fundraiser description
  • Click Create

Here is an example of a fundraiser description written by a FC parent to raise money on Facebook:

“I haven’t shared much about how much we LOVE Sweet Pea’s new school Friends Center for Children, but it’s incredible. Amazing early childhood education. I’m so grateful. And, thanks to their sliding scale policies and community support, it’s affordable for all families. Our big fundraiser just happens to be an AWESOME community festival that you should come to! I’ve taken her the last couple years, even before she started going to school there. A riverfront stroll followed by music, dance, kids yoga and zumba, magicians, and tons of family activities. Come come! $10 suggested donation per family.

Even if you can’t come on May 5th, you can help support high-quality early childhood education for Sweet Pea and her friends, by making a donation here. Thank you!”
