Fair Haven Family
Stroll & Festival

Participate in the Stroll

Start your morning by walking with families along a 1.5-mile loop around the Quinnipiac River—over two bridges and through the historic riverfront district of Fair Haven.

Enjoy Festivities

After the stroll, the festival activities begin: drums, live family-friendly music and dance, parachute play, puppets, face painting, food vendors, bubbles, yoga and Zumba, arts and crafts, and a whole lot of door prizes.

Engage Community

Over 35 local community partners will be on hand to highlight resources available to families in Fair Haven and greater New Haven, from health clinics and healthy food to literacy to safety to enrichment activities.

“Access to affordable, high-quality education for our youth is essential for building stronger families and communities. I applaud the Friends Center for Children, the Elm City Montessori School, and the Fair Haven community for raising awareness of the importance of high-quality early education and making New Haven a better place to live, grow, and learn.”

"With live music, fun activities and valuable information, the Family Stroll is a fantastic opportunity to engage our community in the overarching conversation about quality early childhood education in this country. We know that high-quality early education programs have a high return on the investment, making it that much more important to educate our community to inspire a change nationwide.”
